We provide a free and unlimited automatic access to the data for the city of Carpentras (44.083°, 5.059°), France. Carpentras welcomes a Baseline Surface Radiation Network station for a long time period.

In a Windows environment, upload the txt file provided in the next table and rename it with the .bat extension. Place this file in the same directory than wget.exe, and double click on this .bat file: you should retrieve the CSV file available in the column "Outputs" (More information on the wget access).

Download and unzip an example of command in a Windows environment

with:

  • geopoint: latitude and longitude in degrees for the site of the BSRN station of Carpentras ("geopoint=44.083,5.059")
  • elevation: altitude in meters. "elevation=-999" uses default SRTM elevation value
  • firstday and lastday: here "firstday=2012-01-01&lastday=2012-01-31"
  • duration: time step, here "duration=15"
  • time: time reference (TU or TST), here TU
  • slope: here "&slope=15"
  • azimuth: here "&azimuth=180" which means south in our conventions
  • albedo: here "&albedo=0.2"
  • horizon: take into account (or not) the shadowing effect of the far horizon, here "&horizon=1"
  • header: provide the header of the file, here "&header=1"
  • rely: return a code value (0: no data, 1: sun below horizon, 2: satellite estimation-ok, 5: interpolation, 6: forecasts), here "&rely=1"

Once the command is launched, the output file names hc3v5_Carpentras.csv should be retrieved

  • firstday and lastday parameters must be set to the date of the current day
  • you can add the "&header=1" or "&header=0" if you want (or not) the header in the output file
  • you can add the "&rely=1" or "&rely=0" if you want to have a column of code values in the output file, or not.

This service delivers a complete report on the quality (QC, which stands for Quality Check) of the in-situ measurements, together with the calibration results of the long term HelioClim-3 (version 5) time series with the short term time series of in-situ measurements.
