HelioClim-3 - for FREE (Feb. 2004 - Dec. 2006)
The satellite-derived HelioClim-3 radiation Web service provides time series of all the components of the radiation over a horizontal, fix-tilted and normal plane for the actual weather conditions as well as clear-sky conditions. The values are estimated from satellite imagery (Meteosat Second Generation satellite), and the geographical coverage is Europe, Africa, Atlantic Ocean, Middle East. Spatial resolution is 3 km at Nadir (0°) and is increasing as soon as we get away from this point as depicted on the right hand side illustration. Data are available with a time step ranging from 15 min to 1 month. The free period is limited to 2004-02-01 up to Dec. 2006.

HC3 + MERRA: retrieve HC3 radiation values together with meteorological variables in a single time series!
You will be offered soon the opportunity to add (optional) columns with meteorological variables in the HC3 time series on Feb. 2004 to Dec. 2006: temperature, pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and humidity. The meteorological variables are extracted from the MERRA (NASA) database.
